Companies today are exposed to a turbulent market with fierce competition and the ability toinnovate itself becomes increasingly important. But what innovation is and how it is managed is farfrom obvious. In this case study at EVRY the research questions are: ?What is innovation in ITconsultant companies?? and ?how can innovation be managed in IT consultant companies?? ITconsultancy is a complex type of business and their focus is often to innovate the customers businessrather than their own. The study is based on a literature review, field studies, unstructuredinterviews and an interpretive analysis.

Organisationsfaktorerna arbetskrav och arbetskontroll i relation till ett gruppklimat som frÀmjar innovation

I en allt mer förÀnderlig omgivning utgör innovation ett nödvÀndigt redskap. Syftet med denna studie Àr att undersöka om arbetskrav och arbetskontroll samt interaktionen dem emellan har en betydelse för ettgruppklimat som frÀmjar innovation. Arbetskrav och arbetskontroll definieras i denna studie utifrÄn Karaseks teori om krav- och kontrollmodellen. Innovation definieras utifrÄn Wests teori om de fyra gruppklimatfaktorerna som frÀmjar innovation. Resultatet baseras pÄ en enkÀtundersökning med 83 respondenter fördelade pÄ 20 arbetsgrupper inom den privata sektorn.

In this thesis the subject innovation and the change of meaning is in focus. The purpose of the study is to present a new dimension of innovation as a change of meaning together with the cases we?ve studied. It is discussed throughout the article if theories of perception and association can affect the organization and its ability to create meaning-changing innovations. The industrial robotics is a market in need of, perhaps, if not other markets but of finding new ground that results in the change of meaning.

MÀtning och utvÀrdering av innovation : "What gets measured gets done"

This Master of Science Thesis was a complement project to the PIEp study MENTOL, carried out at a Swedish midsize medical device company.. PIEp nationally works for a long-term increase of the innovation capability of people and organizations. The purpose of this study was to find measuring parameters of innovation that fit medium-sized technological companies and organizations, Another purpose was to evaluate an innovation investment at the company, consisting of external consultant?s education of key personnel in innovation, and a two day innovation seminar with all personnel at the company participating. The methods used during this Master of Science Thesis were: feasibility and literature studies about innovation and innovation measurements, quantitative and qualitative interviews, surveys and workshops.For an accurate measure of innovation it is crucial to a have full understanding of what innovation is, and clarity of the purpose of the measurement itself.

Open innovation in manufacturing small and medium-sized businesses in SmÄland.The purpose of the study is that, from a leadership perspective (innovationmanagement), create a better understanding of open innovation in manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises. The study therefore intends to contribute to the understanding of how open innovation processes leads to greater innovation in manufacturing small and medium sized businesses.We have used a qualitative research method and adopted an abductiveapproach. We made interpretations and created meaning based on our research results.Our theoretical framework is based primarily on Chesbroughs (2003) research on open innovation. Based on this model, we have selected a number of other theories, which we perceived as prerequisites for small andmedium sized companies in open innovation processes.

En studie om kunskapso?verfo?ring vid o?ppen innovation genom crowdsourcing

Organizations that want to maintain a good innovation capability can seek knowledge both within and outside its boundaries. Opening up innovation processes, through so-called open innovation, allows organizations to combine internal and external knowledge sources in order to include previously excluded perspectives to the innovation process. This study examines how knowledge is created and transferred when conducting open innovation through crowdsourcing. It is done based on Nonaka?s (1991; 1994) theory of how knowledge is created through conversion processes, where implicit knowledge can be converted into explicit knowledge and vice versa.

För att en organisation ska kunna överleva i en tid som prÀglas av förÀndring och hÄrd konkurrens, krÀvs en organisationskultur som frÀmjar innovation. En innovation handlar i grund och botten om en förstÄelse och inkorporation av den komplexa kreativiteten i en innovationsprocess. I denna studie har sex centrala kÀrnvÀrden kring den upplevda kreativiteten tagits fram med hjÀlp av semistrukturerade intervjuer frÄn tio respondenter. UtifrÄn en fenomenologisk ansats har dessa kÀrnvÀrden utvecklats frÄn begreppen kreativitet och innovation. Inom kreativitet var ? relatera, förÀndra och kommunicera ? centrala begrepp för respondenterna.
